View available music artwork in NotchDock

Artwork shown in NotchDock depends on what the active player exposes. Some Spotify or Kaset artwork is loaded from a player URL, so it may require a network connection.

Check the artwork exposed by your player

  1. Start a track in Apple Music, Spotify, or Kaset.
  2. Open the NotchDock Music widget and check whether artwork appears for the current item.
  3. Try another item in the same player. If artwork is missing, check the player’s own view and network connection before treating it as an app defect.

This checks artwork availability; it does not claim that NotchDock samples artwork colors, applies a guaranteed glow, caches every image, or works fully offline.

See the Music widget feature guide.

NotchDock is currently free during beta and requires macOS 14 or newer.
