Test NotchDock music controls in a full-screen Mac app

Full-screen behavior depends on the app, macOS, and active player. NotchDock does not guarantee that its controls appear over every full-screen window or presentation.

Test a full-screen playback workflow

  1. Start playback in Apple Music, Spotify, or Kaset and open the NotchDock Music widget.
  2. Enter full screen in the app you need, then check whether the widget responds to the pointer in your setup.
  3. Try play/pause and track navigation. Test seeking only with Apple Music or Spotify; Kaset seeking is not supported.
  4. If macOS shows an Automation permission prompt, decide whether to allow the requested player control.

Results can vary by player and window state. Do not rely on the overlay during a presentation until you have tested that exact app and display configuration.

See supported Music widget players and controls.

NotchDock is currently free during beta and requires macOS 14 or newer.
